The International School on Computational Microscopy (ISCM) is organized by the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems (ScienceApp) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). This first edition, ISCM2017, will be focused on “Label free and quantitative phase imaging techniques”. The school will be held at Hotel La Bussola in Amalfi (Italy), from the 5th to the 8th of September 2017.
Computational microscopy is an emerging technology which extends the capabilities of the classical optical microscopy with the help of computation. In particular, the complexity of imaging systems moves from the optical arrangements to the computational part, which mainly consists into the smart data manipulation to achieve high-quality imaging capabilities.
The International School on Computational Microscopy School (ISCM) aims to provide the basic information about these unconventional imaging systems and relative advanced computational methods. Each edition of the school will be focused on one main topic in the field of computation microscopy. The first edition will be sub-titled “Label free and quantitative phase imaging techniques”. Lectures by worldwide prominent scientists will be given on the following topics:
- Advanced Quantitative Phase Imaging (QPI) systems
- Digital holographic microscopy
- Innovative optical imaging techniques
- Advanced algorithms and methods in computational imaging
- Real time microscopy imaging and processing
ISCM2017 is open to researchers, postdoctoral scholars, Ph.D., undergraduate students and technicians who are interested in acquiring the basic elements or to increase their knowledge in the listed research topics.
